Feeling in good hands - professionally, as well as personally - is the prerequisite to being able to open up, feeling comfortable to be ourself and vulnerably share our deepest truth.
Specialisation does not come from expertise alone, but especially from experience; and that I share with you open-heartedly and genuinely. So you do not only feel in good hands professionally, but also guided by someone you can relate to personally.
Therefore, I work with my clients on eye-level, empathetically and transparently.
Support in acute and chronic states of emotional distress
When life becomes too much, the sensation of overwhelm sets in; sometimes slowly, sometimes abruptly - depending on the cause. The sooner we intervene, the easier it is to bounce back to well-being. Therefore, I advocate for prevention and placing awareness on the early signs of distress, because health is our most precious resource.
At times, demanding circumstances can be especially challenging to navigate. If we stretch ourselves too thin, our body and mind signal us the urgency for change and the need for relief. Initially, this often shows through persistent somatic symptoms, such as trouble sleeping, digestive problems, pain etc. Mentally, we struggle to switch off, finding us unable to enjoy ourself and to unwind. The causes are manifold, however, common causes and circumstances include:
acute triggers, such as relocating, conflict and tension at work, a break-up or loss of a loved one
chronic stressors, such as caring for elderly family members (e.g. with dementia) or children with special needs (e.g. with ADHD), relationship issues or high-pressure at work

Coaching and psychotherapy
In simplified terms, the focus of psychotherapy is on relief, whereas that of coaching is on advancing oneself, in order to be able to achieve personal goals.
Whereas relief constitutes a need, due to an experienced restriction of life quality, personal goals are desires that we strive towards, to further enhance life quality. The former comes with a stronger degree of urgency, the literal need for feeling at ease again. The latter is more goal-oriented, and comes from an awareness of required personal development.
You may think of it like physiotherapy versus personal training: you would go to physiotherapy to heal from an injury, regain functionality or to receive relief from pain; versus to a personal trainer, to whom you go to reach a certain performance goal, such as a specific level of endurance, through enhancing your existing capabilities - and acquiring additional training skills, that you have not incorporated before.
Both seek personal transformation, one away from - and one towards - a state of being. The motivation to resolve and achieve are the drivers.
As the line between therapy and coaching is fluent, you may view the domain of each as a continuum. For example: from social anxiety - an intense level of discomfort that can heavily impact the ability to engage in social situations - to shyness, which takes effort and courage to overcome - all the way to confidence - where someone thrives effortlessly in social settings.

This initial contact is to provide you with help quickly. Here, you can share your current situation and clarify any questions you may have. Thereafter, I advise you on the next steps.
Looking for support for a loved one and not yourself? For this too, you can schedule an initial consultation.
Private consultations:
If you have felt fully comfortable in the initial consultation and we have established that you require additional support, you can schedule your first consultation with me. Hereafter, I will either suggest you coaching or psychotherapy, considering your individual situation and preferences.
I am legally bound to confidentiality (duty of confidentiality §203 StGB). Naturally, any information you share with me is protected hereby.
ABOUT PRACTICE
Availability and Accessibility
You may schedule your sessions for the following days, rather than weeks in advance. The timeframe of each session allows for a relaxed setting, without time pressure. One hour is reserved for you, as well as a buffer before the next client. (I do not work with the standard 50 min therapy sessions, since such rigid time constraints interfere with allowing emotional progress to unfold.)
